herbal supplementsI take a few different herbal supplements in order to address various health concerns. One of the herbal supplements I have taken for years is Primrose oil. Primrose oil is a good source of gamma linolenic acid (GLA), a fatty acid that the body synthesis to make prostaglandin. GLA has many health benefits and I take it because it is meant to help women who suffer from pre-menstrual syndrome. However I recently found out that there are other herbal supplements that I could be taking. These herbal supplements are called Borage. According to what I have read Borage is oil derived from the flower of the same name that grows in the Middle East and Mediterranean. It seems that Borage oil herbal supplements are a better source of GLA than any other. In other words if I take Borage herbal supplements I should, in theory, get more relief from my PMS symptoms than I do at present. I am the sort of person who is prepared to try anything and the way I see it I’d be a fool not to purchase some Borage oil herbal supplements and put that theory to the test.
