Herbal Supplements For Back Pain |

I was chatting to my friend Suki who lives in Britain yesterday. She is very depressed because back pain has her bed ridden but she is reluctant to ask her doctor for pain medication that contains opiate or codeine. I felt bad for Suki because she sounded close to tears on the phone. I decided to look online to see if there are any herbal supplements that might offer her some relief. I found out that some herbal supplements help people with back pain because they have anti-inflammatory properties. These herbal supplements include saw palmetto, rosemary, bromelain, valeria, cat’s claw and licorice. Other herbal supplements such as chamomile and celery seed work by relaxing the muscles. Then there are herbal supplements that provide direct pain relief. Examples include feverfew, burdock, willow bark, devil’s claw, angelica, mustard seed extract and horsetail. I emailed this list of herbal supplements to Suki and she has sent her mother to get some of them for her in the hope that they will offer her some relief. I hope, for her sake, that she feels better soon.
