herbal supplementsI sometimes have insomnia and don't like to take sleeping pills of any kind.  Sleeping pills can be addictive and have some nasty side effects.  I have been using herbal supplements to help my sleep and they have been great.  Melatonin is a natural sleep aide that is naturally in a person's body already and can be found herbal supplements.  My son has autism and can't sleep a normal night's sleep without taking melatonin liquid in the evenings to help him sleep.  Herbal supplements such as this are great for kids like my son with autism.  I used to stay up half the night with him, praying that he would just go to sleep.  He'd be up until after 2 or 3 am and had to get up at 6 for the school bus to arrive.  Chamomile has been used also, for many many years, in adults with some insomnia.  They even make a chamomile tea that a person can drink before bed.  Chamomile can also be found in herbal supplements.  There are more, they can be found online easily.
