Many guys and some girls have it in them to build muscle like crazy doing almost nothing, but most of us have to work our little behinds to build muscle and that is probably the same reason why we are not. You see, being able to build muscle is not like trying to build your lungs and heart where the longer you go the better they get. No, if you want to build muscle, oddly enough, you have to get a little lazier. Whenever you get to the gym to lift some weight you have to set your timer to 30 minutes, because that it’s all you will be allowed to workout if your want to build muscle. The moment you start lifting weights, the body begins to release muscle building hormones that tend to tail off after thirty minutes. If you continue to lift after those 30 minutes not only are you not going to build muscle, you are probably going to break it down. After 30 minutes of you continue to lift, your body will release cortisol which, aside helping your belly to get fatter, also cannibalizes your muscles. By the way, just in case, no muscle supplements will stop this process so don’t even try. Muscle supplements are great for during and after workout as long as you keep your workout shorts. So cut the time your lift weights, lift a bit heavier and you shall see some nice gains.
