build muscleMost bodybuilders know how important protein is in the process to build muscle.  I would venture to say that most bodybuilders also use whey protein as an important part of their bodybuilding routine!  Whey protein is an effective way to build muscle mass.  Whey protein powder can be used in a fruit shake, maybe a banana or strawberry; you can add some ground flax seed and perhaps some yogurt to your shake to really give it some great texture; talk about a healthy shake!

Protein is absolutely necessary to build muscle mass; when you work out you break down muscle tissue and it must be rebuilt; protein is the tool your body uses to rebuild and repair that muscle tissue.

The key to help you build muscle safely is everything in moderation.  Take it nice and slow to begin with; do more repetitions and less weights to start out; as you begin to see that it's getting easier to use those weights, then increase your weights, little by little; you'll find that this is the safest way to help you build muscle.
