Taking herbal supplements is as easy as eating the right foods. You probably have things in your pantry that will make a difference in your health simply by eating right. For example, we have known for a long time that garlic is good for many different health conditions. Oregano is also a good antibiotic that you can season lots of food with. Ginger is good for many purposes, as well. Some people take specially prepared herbal supplements in capsules every day for specific purposes. They might have a mix of different herbs in them that are useful for helping people relieve their symptoms or even help cure a disease.
The herbal supplements can be powerful medicine. If you are taking any prescription drugs, make sure you ask your pharmacist or physician if it's OK to use the herbal supplements with the prescriptions you have to take. You don't want to cause any reactions that will be harmful. Since most medicines have some sort of herbal basis in the first place, it is possible to cause reactions you don't want by combining these powerful supplements with drugs. |
