herbal supplementsTaking herbal supplements is a good way to ensure that you are doing everything you can go protect your health. Of all the herbal supplements I use, aloe vera is probably the most useful. I have a lot of it growing in the yard, so it's easy for me to get it fresh. I cut it and squeeze out the juice and apply it to my skin when I cut myself. It has so many healing properties and since I've been using it for that, a lot of my pesky skin problems have cleared up. I also squeeze some into grapefruit or orange juice and get the benefits internally.

Another of the herbal supplements I like to use are infusions of rosemary. I made a tea from the cut stems of the huge rosemary shrub I have and put them in nearly boiling water. Then I drink the infusion. If I want to exfoliate my skin, I simply wash the rosemary and toss it in the food processor and make a paste with a little olive oil. Then I scrub my face with it, let it sit on my skin for 10 minutes or so, then wash it off.
