muscle supplements, creatine

I went five years without taking any type of muscle supplements. I've been bodybuilding, or at least trying to, for five years. It all started one day when I started working at the local jail. I was 170 pounds at 6 feet tall and quickly realized that wasn't going to cut it. So, I started going to the gym in town that was giving out memberships at half price for government employees. After the first couple times of going, I was hooked. However, I never got into the whole muscle supplements scene. One of the more annoying parts of the gym membership was that they constantly tried to sell me some muscle supplements each time I went in. I think they even got the personal trainers in on it!

I went five years without buying any kind of muscle supplements. I see now that I should have started much earlier. In the beginning I made some pretty good gains. I added about 14 pounds of muscle over the last five years. In the last six months, since I started taking some muscle supplements I have added 12 pounds.

The muscle supplements I started taking are a basic protein powder, some Creatine, and an amino acid supplement. They work great! I can't believe it took me this long! One of the big things that kept me from buying muscle supplements was that I just didn't have the money to sink into them. Some of the people I saw at the gym would say they spent hundreds on muscle supplements every month. I couldn't do that! One day, while surfing for some information on how to build more muscle, I saw an article on the benefits of muscle supplements. This article then led to me to Silver Star Wellness at www.silverstarwellness.com. They had some of the products I mentioned and I bought a bottle of Amino Surge, 250 tabs to try the whole thing out. Mostly because it was much cheaper!

The muscle supplements I bought at Silver Star Wellness started to produce some results so I went back and purchased some powders and Creatine. Since then, I've been making great gains and feel much stronger. I now believe that the next five years of bodybuilding will be much more productive than the first five. I guess we all have to go through a learning process. I just wish mine wasn't five years! Better late than never.
