Who hasn't had a muscle cramp at some time or another? I especially dislike the ones that creep up at night in the calf. Yikes, those sure hurt, don't they? I have learned that muscle cramping is most commonly caused by an imbalance in the levels if calcium and magnesium in the body. Dehydration can be the cause as well.
After being rudely awakened one time too many I really looked into the muscle supplements needed to curb this phenomenon. Calcium and magnesium as previously mentioned are at the top of the list. Next, vitamin E improves circulation. Muscle supplements such as synergy plus help with the absorption of calcium and malic acid aids in the production of energy. Potassium helps to relieve muscle spasms and silica aids in calcium absorption. Vitamins B complex, C and D all are very important muscle supplements to relieve cramps.
I know it seems overwhelming but once I got into a routine of taking these muscle supplements every day and consuming large quantities of water my nightly wake up calls came to a halt! |
