Build Muscle with Yoga or Pilates |

It's the New Year and many of us have made resolutions. Some of those promises to ourselves, friends and loved ones may revolve around the efforts to build muscle, loose weight and simply get fit. This need not be a daunting task. I have found that starting out slowly and trying new things keeps me interested and produces results.
I really like yoga and pilates. These are gentle giant type of workouts. They look easy but as you get into the practices you will find muscles that you have long forgotten about. I have to say that some of the movements are challenging and have definitely helped me to loose inches and build muscle. I always leave a yoga or pilates class feeling stronger and more alert.
It is important to persevere in your effort to build muscle, loose weight and get fit. It is not a quick fix and will not happen overnight but it will happen. I am proof of that. Find something you enjoy and do it at least three times a week for starters. I found that once I saw results I was sold. Nothing would get in between me and my daily yoga or pilates workout! |
